Museum Facilitator - Learning and Development JGU" "Sukanya Sharma is an accomplished conservation professional with expertise in Architectural conservation and is pursuing her research work in the field. She serves as Chair-Assistant Dean for the Archiving and Exhibition Action Group and is an Assistant Professor at the Jindal School of Design and Architecture. She also teaches at MA museology and Cultural Heritage Program at JGU and currently acts as a Constitution Museum Facilitator with Learning and Development Department.

She has contributed significantly to projects spanning Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Amritsar, and Madhya Pradesh. She received her Master's degree in Architectural Conservation from SPA, Bhopal. Sukanya’s passion for preserving cultural legacies is evident in her diverse and impactful work across these regions. She was selected for the HeritageForAll International Internship Exchange 2019 – Traditional Food Heritage in Cairo, Egypt. Recognised for her work on mapping built heritage in Jammu, she received honours from the Department of Tourism and the Department of State Archives, Archaeology & Museum, Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the Dharmarth Trust. Her dedication earned her a scholarship for the Young Professional Forum – Emerging Skills for Heritage Conservation (2022) by the International Institute for Conservation and CCR, Rome.

She received her advanced certification for the International course on Impact Assessment in a World Heritage Context, organised in partnership with UNESCO, IUCN, ICROM, and WHITRAP, and the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment. She has been involved in the Heritage Impact Assessment of the Sunder Nursery and Humayun's Tomb Complex for DPS School, located on Mathura Road, New Delhi.

In collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Haryana, she has organised heritage walks and architectural Documentation workshops for Educational Institutes.

She has presented her research work in many national and International conferences. She is currently a Research Fellow at Jindal Institute of Haryana Studies, JGU, where she is documenting the cultural heritage of old Sonipat city, Haryana. She has been meticulously working towards community awareness about their cultural heritage through organising heritage walks, seminars, and outreach programs while being a member of ICOMOS India, INTACH - Life Member, and the Council of Architecture.
